Ayaprun Elitnaurvik dancers performed for the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden; Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland; and Representative Mary Peltola as part of a special event May 17.
The event, held at BRHS, celebrated investments in broadband in our region, as part of a federal initiative to bring affordable, high-speed internet to Native communities.
The First Lady greeted and shook hands with our students who were honored to be seated on the stage for the special presentation.
We are proud of our students, and of their participation in this historic event!
